Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my AC blowing warm air?

Usually low refrigerant (leak), a failed compressor, or electrical issue. I'll diagnose which one before recommending repairs.

How often does AC refrigerant need recharging?

In a sealed system, never. If you need a recharge, you have a leak somewhere. I can find small leaks and add sealant, or recommend repair for larger ones.

Can you replace an AC compressor mobile?

Technically yes, but it's usually not practical. Compressor replacement needs refrigerant recovery equipment and is better done in a shop. I can diagnose and refer you to someone I trust.

What's the difference between R-134a and R-1234yf?

R-1234yf is the newer refrigerant used in most cars made after 2015. It's more expensive but environmentally friendlier. I work with both.

How long does an AC recharge take?

About 30-45 minutes including diagnostic checks. I make sure it's actually holding pressure before I leave.
