Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about mobile auto repair in Houston
What is a mobile mechanic?
A mobile mechanic brings the tools and expertise to your location—your home, office, or roadside. No need to tow your car to a shop or wait in a waiting room. I perform most repairs on-site.
What services can you do at my location?
Oil changes, brake repair, battery replacement, engine diagnostics, A/C repair, starter and alternator replacement, belt and hose replacement, and emergency roadside service. Major work like transmission or suspension may require a shop.
How much does a mobile mechanic cost?
Most services range from $45-$250:
- Oil changes: $45-$85
- Brake pads: $150+ per axle
- Batteries: $150-$250
- Diagnostics: $75-$100
I give you the price before starting any work—no surprise fees.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes! I answer 24/7 for emergencies. If you're stranded on I-10 or anywhere in Houston, call me. I can help with jump starts, tire changes, fuel delivery, and on-site repairs when possible.
Are you ASE certified?
Yes, I'm ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified with over 10 years of experience working at dealerships, independent shops, and now mobile.
What areas do you serve?
I serve all of Greater Houston including:
- The Heights • Montrose • Galleria • Memorial
- Katy • Sugar Land • The Woodlands
- Cypress • Spring • Humble • Pasadena
- League City • Baytown • Richmond • Pearland
How long does an oil change take?
Most oil changes take 20-30 minutes at your location. I also check fluids, belts, and tire pressure while I'm there—free of charge.
Can you diagnose my check engine light?
Yes! I use professional diagnostic equipment to read codes and explain what's wrong in plain English—not just read you a code number. Diagnostics are $75-$100, often waived if you proceed with repairs.
Do I need to be present when you work on my car?
Not at all. You can be at work, home, or anywhere else. Just leave your keys in a safe place and I'll text you when I'm done. Most people prefer this convenience.
What if you can't fix my car mobile?
If the job requires a lift or shop equipment, I'll tell you upfront and won't start the work. I know my limits and won't cut corners. I'll recommend a trusted shop if needed.
